Hey, Welcome to Logical Dads

This is Andy and Michal, or Michal and Andy. Let’s abstract from the order of our names as it has nothing to do with logic ;).

Great to have you here and thanks for subscribing, if you decided so!

You won’t have to worry about missing anything. Every new edition of the newsletter goes directly to your inbox.

We share a common University of Mathematics, Physics, and Informatics. We are logical. Michal ended up working for IT technology corporates as a delivery manager and architect, Andy didn’t mind corporate even the slightest and went exploring the world (or UK part of the world to be more precise). The point is, our mindset is close in private, even if we can’t be further away in professional life. It’s an anomaly that simply can’t be left unexplored.

And so happens we are Dads now (for quite some time actually). As you might already know, dealing with kids has nothing to do with logic. Therefore, it’s our challenge and ultimate goal to bring it here.

Two girls, two boys. From three to five to twelve to thirteen and anything before and in between. This covers a lot of use cases and we are set to explore them. As the years will fly, so the experience will grow. So a logical expectation is, this newsletter can get only smarter over time ;).

Our articles will follow a preset structure we will consistently keep (I mean, at least until we decide otherwise). You will easily get it once you will get to read them.

And lastly, we absolutely do NOT target dads only. In fact, we will welcome, or even more, we expect many mums will join us as well so that we can share with them the Dad’s visualization of the children's problems, and so helping mums expand their working area view with our insights, which in most cases are located in some completely different areas as those of mums ;).

Dads are welcome by default, logical or not.

You’ll get the newsletter issues here, in your inbox. You can also log in to the website to read the full archives for free posts.

You’re on the free version for now, as right now we are 100% free. Expect one full issue per month, maybe more. That’s our minimal commitment as of now. Hopefully, we can go up from there later on.

We are going to invest a lot of our free time here. We do it like this for several reasons:

  • We want to learn more about how to raise the kids so that we can be in turn better fathers.

  • We deal with lots of crap during our standard working hours time, so this could be a great filter for us to keep us still in a good shape. To stay sharp and resist the kids’ madness longer.

  • Researching, recapitulating, and concluding are valued activities - at least if they are done right. And we want to do it right (because only that is logical). Nevertheless, even in such a case this newsletter will get converted to paid edition eventually somewhere in the future, I will make the effort to compensate you for the subscription with a free monthly edition of some useful printables you can use as a gun against your children at home. And this won’t happen one without another, so we convert only once I’m confident I can deliver on this promise.

We hope you’ll find our upcoming articles entertaining, educating, and fun!

Working for almost 20 years as an IT technology consultant, technology architect, or tech arch delivery lead, let's see what is to share from what I have learned, if anything.
I talk way too much.
